Computer games.

You know that Minecraft game.

What is it?

You sort of... build stuff with 8-bit blocks, then fight stuff... It's really hard to describe actually. You build your own weapons, then kill things that attack your world to get ingredients to build the world around you etc.

It's not a game, it's an experience. Yeah... yep, that sounds like a t*ttish enough description of it!

To expand further, it's a game that's ideal to throw on when you're winding down for the day and you've had enough bright flashing lights and CoD-esque glitz for the day and want something a bit different.

Anyone played Torchlight 2? Mates are sending it to me as we speak, to play it multiplayer and stuff.

Will you let me know what it's like when you play it, as I've heard it's the game Diablo 3 should have been - and if it is actually decent I'll be snapping it up to wash away the bad memories from D3.

This is the first review I found.

Well, this is pretty much what I wanted Diablo 3 to be. Fun fast paced gameplay. Awesome loot system. Offline and online play. Interesting and versatile classes. Everything you could want from an ARPG can be found in TL2 and then some. So, if Runic can deliver us this amazing game for 20$ why can't Blizzard make something remotely interesting for 60$?

Interesting.

got no interest in computer games myself, never have, but the kids have set the alarm for 5 in the morning, going to pick up fifa 13 early bells so they can play on it before school,,i still dont get it:unsure:

Interesting.
Will do mate, will probably tell you tomorrow night or during the weekend, we'll see.

Actually that is the reason I'm interested in it, tbf - it's supposed to be what Diablo 3 should've been, as even I've kinda left it atm (actually playing more LoL and PES13, so not really "left" it, occasionally drop in there). The storyline is supposedly also good, so that's a plus...

We'll see though, I'll report back.

By the way t00bz, you hooked to the Monk class now? Pandas and stuff, yo! I watched the "presentation" thingy the other day, excellent cinematics, but I expected nothing less from Blizz - the ones for Diablo 3 were also great.

I stopped playing WoW a while ago, might pick it up again in a month or two but I'm on a traditional RPG blitz at the mo - ordered a few PS1 Final Fantasy games from Amazon and bought a PS2 for £10 to play them on haha

I mean as in "logged in just to try it" more than "logged in to waste your life" tbf, haha.

It's supposedly good, but then again - you know my opinion on the game as a whole, so yeah.

Tried Torchlight 2, started it up at about 1:20. It's now 2:42 and I just quitted it, and can't wait to get back in; my initial idea was to get in for about 20-30 minutes tops...

Great game, faster paced, more simplified, really what Diablo 3 should've been/what people expected it to be.

*It may not be that good when going forward though, but I doubt it. I'm level 10 or something and I just breezed through everything to get to this level, and it's getting a bit tougher now...
