So at the beginning of the season when some of us were arguing for more depth with quality veteran players? This is why.

Quality veteran players?

Like whom?

And, its the Daily FAIL

LB depth
Gibson depth (which to be fair, we tried to do and failed, hope we get him in Jan)
Striker depth (not counting Anichebe)
We actually did well in the RM department

We are still too thin for my liking (even if the Fail is wrong).

EDIT: forgot LM for Pienaar

Bad news but we couldnt have expected to go through with no injuries, so far we have been unlucky as most of would rather have lost 2 other players but at least they are not long term injuries.

Naysmith can play upfront

I agree with you that our four priorities for the summer were a starter at RM, cover for Baines, support for Jelavic and cover for Gibson. And we went for Mirallas, Oviedo, Naismith and that belgium lid. Job done, really. Missing out on the Gibson cover was the only big mistake.

Gibson and Jelavic were the only players we couldnt afford to lose, its the Everton way that we lose both of them.

Moist tried to get CM cover in, but FIFA knocked it back.

We also tried to get in Niang which would have gave us a little more cover upfront and on the wings, but basically we lost the only 2 players in the squad that cant be replaced, sometimes, its GREAT to support Everton and besides, Jelavic isnt defo out on Saturday yet, as of yesterday he was 50/50, he wouldnt play at Leeds anyway, so I personally think he will back for Southampton if Sat is a little early.

But I do agree we are a little thin, but I think we can cope, its if we get a number of long term injurys, then the problems will start.

But Janaury will be along shortly.

Fellaini will fund the re-build.

OH YAY ANOTHER THREAD DENIGRATING ANICHEBE HE MUST BE DEAD GASH LADS CUZ HE ONLY SCORED 1 AGAINST NEWCASTLE FFS
