If we win 2 in 3, we will get 76 points, which would give us a 3rd place last season. That shouldn't be any problem right... right??

We have double what points i thought we would have after 3 games, people need to calm down after winning a few games thinking we are going to win the league, finish top 4 etc with how many points can we get from the next 6 games/10 games-everyone can be optimistic, and the same with when we lose a few games we wont be in the bottom etc,all the threads blaming this player, that player etc is stupid, the team as a whole did not play well-we move on and try our best to keep winning and look to the future as annoying as a defeat can be.

people saying we were going to win the league were only joking mate

6 point out of the first 9 is a big step forward for us, and more than I hoped we would have to be honest. We've only had one homegame (ManU) and two tricky awaygames. We hadn't beaten AV at their hometurf in 6-7 years. WBA is in form and when you face a team in form on their hometurf it will be difficult. That said I still think we should have gotten something from this game, would have been happy with 1 point, but we are going to have these kind of games, when we don't get up to our real standard. Usually the whole of our season up until Christmas is played below our standard. We've got 6 points in the bag, we cruised through to the next round of the Cup and we now have 2 weeks before the next game to let the team settle down and get to know eachother (yes I know many will be away for their national countries). Stay positive. We have a good side and now we even have some subs that can come on and do a good job without weakening the team.

I think this is a reasonable way to avoid getting too despondent.

We didn't learn anything new today:

1) We're not going to win the league
2) Moyes plays his favourites even if it's out of position
3) Moyes waits until 60-65 minutes before changing anything even if we're struggling
4) Moyes is defensively minded and his lesson learned from today is to "hold on to the 0-0" instead of going for it

We sucked today but we had a great transfer window and started the season better than in previous years. We'll do well this season.

Yes WBA deserved the win but we were not as disastrous as some people are making out. There was little between the sides as Clarke said and it could easily have gone the other way.
