If it's for 5m, he's more like Bryan Avoido amirite?

Are there really people here who genuinely believe that Moyesie's transfer strategy is 'Wow, I've suddenly got £5m burning a hole in my pocket, who can I spend it on that I don't need' ?

Well, isn't that almost exactly what happened with Bilyaletdinov and Kroldrup, to be fair?

I mean I'm not knocking Moyes in the transfer market at all, but the two times he's messed up big it seemed to be because he had money to spend and just got a bit carried away.

£5million for a backup player. TOTAL WASTE

He can play anywhere on the left mate. We are really short on cover at left back. If Bainsey gets injured we'd be in big trouble. Having Oviedo would take some of the strain off Baines and give us options on the left. We need a squad to compete, having Oviedo would help achieve a squad.

We desperately need a footballing right back, but we've managed for so long with what we have at RB and become so dependant on everything coming from the left, that the lack of real quality at LB could really damage the way the team plays.

It may seem like that but it's probably just because they are the only two that haven't done well for us, just because they didn't adapt doesn't mean Moyes messed up - just that he took a risk on them and it didn't work out, just look at the likes of Utd and the RS and how many times they've done that haha.

This signing could very much mean that Pienaar is being pushed more central, with this new lad on the left. Before anyone says "but that would break up the partnership", just because they don't start next to each other doesn't mean they won't be able to pass to each other.

Like I said I'm not for a moment knocking Moyes in the transfer market, his record is fantastic and the occassional error is bound to happen.

But they were both missteps, end of. Kroldrup less so because we got the money back but Bily was never going to be the winger we needed, too slow and lightweight and the fact we wasted the Lescott money on him set us back for two and a half years.

O'Keeffe (I know) on the echo video saying we're right in there for him and that payment of a £5M fee will be staggered if accepted.
