That's a major, major gesture inside the stadium. He was ace but he didn't win anything and wasn't part of one of our greatest sides. I'm not trying to be a miserable [Poor language removed], we just need some context here. He'll be remembered as one of many great players to play for our club and that's a legacy indeed.

Putting his number on the corner flags is far too much.

I'd at least do it for the Goodison derby like.

Seeing comments from other sporting/footy sites..All fans are gutted to see him leave. Tim is hugely respected player..everywhere
 


Seems like one of very few decent genuine people left in football and I wish him all the best, it was definitely the right time to go and I'd rather he got some first team football in America rather than fade away on our bench.
 
Gutted. But can't help from thinking about the cash from his wages.
