I'm genuinely a bit sad about this. Seeing all the pictures with quotations from him has made me well up a bit. It is the right decision for everybody though.

Goodbye Tim, you epitomise everything good about Everton: hard work, loyalty and dignity. A true professional.

In my 24 years of being an Everton Cahill is still my all time favourite player.

Good luck in the MLS Tim. It was the right time to go.

This is the best move for everyone. Now we can view his poor form last season as a blip and not something that dragged on and ruined his reputation.

He was, is and always will be an Everton legend.

He was probably our most influential player for the first six years he was here, and I will always be grateful for what he did for the club, but all good things must end and I wish him nothing but the best in New York.

absolutely this, my main concern now is if we get anyone else in..(bar pienaar)
 
time to move Tim on, he was woeful last season butlets thank him for the years before 2011/12 when he was great.
