Foxy, THT AND LCAB have all said it will be done. Trust them.

On another matter, right or wrong the lad should,nt be playing games for spurs beaucse we can,t close the deal over staged payments, times of the payments or whatever. SPURS ARE A PAIN IN THE ARSE when it comes to dealings but this is one deal we should bite the bullet and get this done quick before the lad gets injured in a spurs game.

If it turns out we are waiting for a sky payment to hit the door matt in Aug to make this happen then fine but at the end of the day these sorry arsed transfer windows need to come to an end for this great club.

Happened to Sean Davis from Fulham with us didn't it ? I'm not saying he'd have done well or anything but as I recall we kept going in until the lad submitted a request but we still couldn't get a deal and he was injured (in a friendly I think )

We had a deal in place in August 2003 and he took the medical. Everton pulled out for insurance purposes. Davis was back playing by October for Fulham.

No, and neither did Moyes second option that summer after the Davis deal fell through: Barry Ferguson. It beggers belief now that Moyes was planning to throw £9M at landing that turkey.

The thing is with him, although £9m would of been ridiculous, he was an excellent player in his younger days, Blackburn ruined him. I'm sure Gattuso said something about him being one of the best players he's played with.

The feller has never had pace. He was found out in the PL. He tried that style he had at Rangers where he'd screen and turn away from opponents. Down here was stripped of the ball by better players no problem, and he had no surge at all to take him away from those predators. Absolutely hopeless. Moyes pursued him like he was a long lost son. It was all a bit embarrassing.
