New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

So the Wirral are spending big to bring back an old ferry terminal at woodside, which they say will ease the matchday congestion outside the new stadium.

I have read the article and I must be missing something, because to come from the ferry terminal in woodside, surely people would have to come to the liverpool ferry terminal at pier head and then from there along the dock road to the stadium?

So the congestion on the road outside the stadium will be the same? Perhaps it would decrease the congestion on the trains from Liverpool to the Wirral?

It would surely only ease the congestion if there was also a new ferry terminal on the Liverpool side, near the stadium.

Any ideas where best to park on a non-match day?

Taking the kid to the Santa event. Might still get the train but the weather looks horrible on Thursday.

Might be able to park on the road outside, but if there is a "santa event", maybe not. Cant you park in the executive car park for the event? At Goodison I parked in the car park behind the Park End when I went for the tour.
I think you can park in the 10 streets area on non matchdays. I found a little car park not too far away the other week, on the corner of Love Lane and Chisenhale Street. But that might be further than you want to walk, probably 15 minute walk.

Went on the stadium tour today. Great to see other sides of the stadium away from where we sit.
Lovely inside and great to see the home dressing room is top notch while the away is second rate.
Even at my age I walked down the tunnel imagining I was 17 and making my debut.
Walking back down the tunnel I was coming off after just scoring a debut hat-trick.
Worth a visit I think.

Not a great day for you to sit in the dugout with all the rain. Did it relent?

Also, when I did it in the first fortnight of the tours I thought that they could have taken people out onto the western terrace. Maybe they do that now?

VAR has given you offside for your third goal.

The rain had stopped by the time we were there.
You still can't go out on the western terrace, they said due to the council and licensing and all that palaver.

Interestingly enough, the guy doing the tour said they could increase capacity by 18,000 if they did away with seats in the safe standing areas, home and away end.
I assume they would then make the away end smaller in size while still keeping the percentage of allowed away supporters, and give the new found space to home supporters.
