2025/26 David Moyes

The guy has no imagination...just the same old pragmatic manager, always using the same system independently if he has the player to do so or not. He got played tacticaly today by Eddie...hopefully he will keep us out of trouble this year, but he is not the answer in the medium term yet alone the long term

One year he tried it at West Ham and it was ditched ten games in for more direct style.

I agree if you want more progressive style every week get in a manager who's actually been coaching it for over five years e.g. Iraola or Glasner.

Can see Beto coming back for Tuesday and he can only be effective with direct balls played over the top for him to chase.

Yes, he'll defo switch again and make it look like he's proactive.

But he cant build and coach a passing team.

It's clear that's the way the owners want to go though, so if we dont get top ten they have a decision to make in May.

Not having that, like. Tim has played well the last few chances he’s had. Tonight wasn’t on team selection; he went with our strongest 10 available plus the call of Tim over possibly dropping KDH back and playing Charly from the start.

I’m not sure Pickford has had a game as bad as that in the whole time he’s been at the club. Tim did indeed, sadly for him and us, had a stinker and was rightly hooked at HT.

If we’re looking for digs to have at Moyes, I’d be going with not making any further subs until 80 mins.

A miserable night but I’d be having a pop at 5 or 6 individual performances before I turned my steely gaze onto Davey.
When were these games where Tim played well? Were they games we were already winning?

Alcaraz is twice the player Iroegbunam is. Iroegbunam is not a player with any sort of quality at all, he's a player we got on a FFP fiddle.

Think he was trying to shield the new ownership from any criticism there as Kenny Tete was literally the first target the club tried to get done over the summer.

Why there was no other target is completely baffling. Get the feeling the club went all in on Grealish in August at expense of other targets and the hero worship over it and the decent start to the season meant any effort to get in an RB was shelved until January.

Problem with those type of gambles is they can unravel in the winter when injuries and suspensions hit and here we are.
Yes we went after Tete, and he would have been a good get, but there weren’t even any other rumors because it wasn’t a priority.

That was crap.

Appreciate it’s hard to legislate for a goal like that in the first minute, but the whole team looked flat and if we had the ball, everyone was static. Whoever was in possession had to run into space to find a pass.

3 down and no change of setup or tactic, just a like for like change.

Waited too long for the others. The system wasn’t working and like for like changes wasn’t going to stop that.

The record will show some people saw Monday for what it was before this evening. Pulling a lucky result directly out of our keesters wasn’t a sign that everything bad would suddenly be fixed.
Spot on...Monday was like winning the lottery...today is back to reality. He is under massive pressure, has to be, and with the fixtures coming up, he could be in trouble in January
