I’ve said a few times over the years, I know somebody who played under moyes and he has always said that the one thing he demands of you is that you follow instructions. He’s not bothered about your talent level or your reputation, what he wants is to know that you will go out onto the pitch and do what he has asked you to do. If you do then he’ll stand by you, if you don’t he’s not interested. I don’t think it’s a massive leap to think that Alcaraz doesn’t do what he’s being asked to do and so isn’t seen as a viable starter.

When I listen to him I often simply don't believe him. He literally said he used Dwight the other night because Dwight had done well in training. Dont think he should be sold. Hes a good player. But hes not performing in the role given, so should be swapped out.

He does it with Barry and Beto so dont see how it shouldn't apply to other positions. Hence why its called competition.

I'd say that Beto/Barry have each been misused as well. Both need a few games to get a rhythm and build consistency.

Alcaraz also, nothing in terms of a run over someone not performing.

Just remembering he can finish plays with success, like here. If he failed against Sunderland, it's because giving him 5 or 10 minutes doesn't build his confidence.
By the way, in this game KDH played at 8, Madison was the 10.

Someone should tell DM that you don`t win 3 points or progress in the cup by doing well in training and stinking the place out when picked on match day. Mind you he`s been in the game so long you`d think he`d have worked it out for himself by now.

Problem is we have 2 cb who are 18 yard box cbs and were playing them on the half way line. We need branthwaite back to play the way we want to play and tarks and keane both need replacing

We’ve had plenty of the ball.

He’s been completely bypassed (admittedly by a superb Newcastle midfield).
