It's always goalkeepers and defenders who get the biggest plaudits in situations like what happened tonight, and so they should.... but the way KDH, Grealish and Garner were able to hold/carry/protect the ball, take decisions to play the ball forwards into other areas where we were already outnumbered for a chance of a second balls/fouls, was absolutely pivotal tonight.

Watching the the play that occurred immediately prior to the bust up again, Mick Kegger appears to ask Gana for the ball. Gana plays it to him and Mick completely ignores it making it look like very sloppy play from Gana.

I can understand why Gana was peeved with Mick to be fair.

Tonight those 3 played smart football, relieving pressure. They actually played classy football which was instrumental to us having some form of outlet. And this was as critical to our win as Pickford's saves or our CBs headed clearances.
