New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It certainly wouldn’t be worth it to the club if those figures are correct.

Where has the £60 million cost figure come from?

Practically everything is a minimum of that nowadays. Man City's original third tier expansion was £50 million back in 2015 that added 6k. Now consider we would need to take down that huge glass end, add another full width truss, add all those complex roof lattice and panels to continue the barrel. Presumably the extended concourse would also need to be on stilts to provide access below and the back of the stand would still overhang UU boundary, which would need to be negotiated. It's not a simple build unless you throw out the design and bung up some corrugated sheets like the RS do.

6 league games in in our new 53k stadium and apart from the opening game there's been loads of tickets on the resale site every game for the ones unsuccessful in the ballot. There's been people who were successful in the ballot shitting themselves when the money gets taken because they didn't really want to go and they try and spin their ticket. Loads of season tickets holders flogging tickets and some not sure on renewing next season. SIX GAMES IN. If you think we need a bigger stadium you're living on cloud cuckoo land. Its sound as it is.
Actually think when the prices get announced for next season loads are going to jib it , given we could see an hike in prices and the fact it’s not as in and out as goodison was.

Birmingham describe their new stadium as "football-first". That speaks volumes.

The intention - unspoken - is not that Birmingham City will fill it. It's that other sports and events do.
Definitely, it certainly isn't being made for "Football First" Approach.

It's going to built as an Arena, football will just fill one of the bases of the whole plan.

Birmingham will become a new NFL base, and the list will just keep growing with the more attraction they can pull in from all walks of life.

6 games in and only 2 have been 3 O’clock Saturday kick offs. Next 6 and only 1 is a Saturday 3pm- That’s the Forest game on 6th Dec. It’s why so so many are going up for resale. If Seat Unique think they are going to sell out their expensive seats on a Wed night in the New Year for a game against Wolves I think they are over estimating the demand.
My seat is in Club View and I didn’t read the small print and I cant put games I cant go to up for resale. So far I’ve been able to transfer to friends who are in Forever Blue, but it wont let you transfer to existing ST holders so they can bring someone. Not everyone wants to join Forever Blue. All in all, with the travel involved and an increase in Monday / other night 8pm games, I may only be a one season ST and pitch my luck on resale next season for whatever Sat games we may get.
When you read posts like yours it does give you a feeling that season tickets will eventually start phasing out.
It does sound stupid saying that, but all the stress, the change in gamedays, less and less saturday games and not being able to pass/sell your ticket to a friend.

Just getting so complicated to go and watch 90mins of footy on a saturday afternoon..

When I was younger I used to love the midweek games, Monday, Wednesday or even the occasional Friday nights etc. since having a kid it's change it.

Dunno how I'd feel with the midweek games if we got into Europe.

Now it's just an exhausting and I long for a 3 or 5:30 on a Saturday kick off game, I take my hat off the blues who follow the team away all the time. Sell them out all the time. I don't know how they do it!

Who gives a shiny...poo what the brummies are laughably planning anyway?!?

They aren't even in our stratosphere, club wise!!

In my experience, Birmingham is full of inbreds, mush!!

In fact if they were any more inbread...They'd be a f**king sandwich!!

...Why can't we all just be proud of our beautiful & wonderful new home & let it grow with us...Much like Goodison, must have???...Back in the day

I have thought this for years, once the novelty wears off and give. The issues with getting away, I can see our season ticket numbers lowering over the next few years.

Thats how many fans who are not season ticket holders get to see a match are those non 3pm kick offs. I've always done shift work until recently so Saturday 3pm football only happned from this season since the 90s. So going to a match other times is my normal. Be the game itself that will have me surrendering my season ticket. Maybe price at some point...
