January Transfer Window 2026

Osman Carsley Neville Gana Garner not an ounce of pace or height between them.

Fellaini and Soucek are really the exception to the players he normally plays. I don’t think Moyes would ever have bought Onana for example, and it’s telling that he’s replaced Doucoure with KDH.

It will be interesting to see what he does with Rohl and Iroegbunam because there’s two players with pace height and power who can both handle the ball well. Alcaraz is another factor in the mix, Armstrong too when he returns.
Yeah you're right to be fair. Think I just feel a bit arsey about it because we've been screaming out for a genuinely good passer from deep for honestly getting on for a decade now ha.

This Atta fella is probably a jarg link anyway but he also seems in that vein of Röhl and Tim - good at carrying the ball but not a good passer. He does look absolutely insane at carrying it though.

Didn’t onana literally turn Moyes down at West Ham when he signed for us?

Onana signed for us because the DoF at Wham wanted him but he didn't feel like the manager did. He had ambitions and saw how his compatriate Romelu Lukaku used us as a stepping stone and wanted to try to follow the same pathway.

Really don’t get this view when you look at the midfielders he’s consistently played and bought at his clubs.

Osman, Pienaar, Arteta, Cahill, Bilyaletdinov, Mata, Kudus, Paqueta, Grealish, Dewsbury Hall.

Yeah he had the occasional Fellaini and Soucek type, but most of the time he buys too many diminutive schemers who don’t have any pace. If he bought a few more big grocks who could run and hit a ball we’d probably do a bit better away from home at times.

Giving me everlasting hope for Chris Rigg here :o

Of the 2 links id say Castro would be the more likely as a Beto replacement. 4 goals and an assist in 600mins for Bologna. 8 goals and 4 assists last season so an improvement.

No! He's older than McTominay whose age everybody seems to be moaning about on here. Would I spend money on Mc'T or Grealish now? I would at this moment take McTominay if both were the same money. Strong midfield attacker, striker combined and a born leader. Something we ain't got and what's needed.
TFG ain’t spending 50mil on a 29 yr old, also he’s doing very in the Italian league, which isn’t the league it once was.
Beto and Zirkzee both looked good in that league.
