So sad. Another part of my youth gone.

Very good shout for the first Stone Roses album as the best ever. Subjective I know, but so many absolute bangers on that.

Spent hours practicing Mani's basslines as a youngun, one of the bands I played in were total Stone Roses worship. We'd mess around playing their songs in rehearsal as much as our own. Him and Reni were an absolutely tough rhythm section.

….i’ll have a listen and get back. I love my music but we’ve all got different taste, no right and wrong on these things. Regardless, it’s sad that he’s passed away especially at such a young age, hopefully he’s re-united somewhere with his wife.

True story, I think I may have told this on here before so forgive me repeating. I live near a picturesque seaside resort for the wealthy, one summer, about 35 years ago or more now my friends and I went to the beach at said resort for the day. We went for a walk along the nearby headland to find a quiet spot to have a smoke. About 5 minutes later a group of young men were walking towards where we were sat, as roses fans ourselves we immediately recognised them and they came over and chatted. They were recording some songs at a nearby studio in someone’s house …. I do have a photo somewhere which I will try to dig out and post on here.
