OS said he broke down during his interview, he didn't really but he looked a bit emotional. He seems to be saying goodbye, but we have it on good authority that he's coming back.

i can see a bunch of clubs thinking that Cahill still has a lot of goals left in him. I don't see it, but big ego managers may think they can get him kickstarted.

I wouldn't be as concerned about age with Donovan. I think he already has adjusted his game for his advancing age. He's now more of an assist man/playmaker than a pacey finisher like he used to be. He is an incredibly fit athlete. I think he plays at a high level until his mid 30s. Reminds me of Giggs with his conditioning and shifting of game. He is obviously not Giggs in terms of quality, but I think both have similar body types (Giggs is taller, though) and conditioning.

Thats what I'd like to see, with possibly Diame in for Neville/Hibbert. Dempsey has been great this season but I'd be very suprised if he repeats that form again next season. You'd have to pay over the odds for a thirtysomething and thats too big a risk for a cash strapped side like us.
