New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Yeah, yesterday was my 6th game and now the walk to the ground is getting much more familiar. Still blown away by every aspect of the stadium. I'm not a STH, so have had 6 different seats and have tried all four sides.
Was in the Family stand (for the 2nd time) yesterday.
Wierdest thing was seeing two young men (in their 30s I'd guess) both wearing half and half Everton/Fulham scarves and one of whom had a carrier bag from the LFC shop.
I hope you beated him with sticks.

Yeah we noticed that, it looked fantastic!

My 8th game at Bramley-Moore yesterday got there just for kick off, it felt like a normal game to me maybe for the first time. Don’t know if that’s just me or everyone settling down a bit? Anyone else thought the same?

Yeah, we were saying that yesterday as well.

I thought the atmosphere yesterday was a proper normal Goodison atmosphere. The team started well and the crowd responded. The disallowed goals got the crowd a bit narky. Went a bit quiet second half, when Fulham had a 15 minute spell. Then the crowd got back into it, as the team did.

The regulars around me are starting to chat to each other.

It’ll take time, but is starting to settle into Home.

Every visit i see improvements in the stadium itself and the club are clearly listening and are responsive.

However the transport isues seem to be getting worse. The plan to push people into town is crazy. It was manic yesterday. Town was chocker. It felt a bit " edgy"
Central station closed the platforms as they were overcrowded. Traffic was gridlocked.

Im an older person, waiting on a new hip. The walk into town took me 40+ minutes and im suffering today. A lot of the area is very dark and there are trip hazards everywhere.
Weirdly there was very little police presence around after the game yesterday around the ground, the roads into town and even town itself.
It just feels like " spectators getting home safely and quickly" has been abandoned as a concept

It looks like they are expanding Aintree train station for what it’s worth, I’ve driven last recently and there is a what looks like similar works to what happened at Sandhills, I assume this helps people parking there if not walking to it and queueing up

The reflection in the glass on the South Stand is the main reason why I would be against any infill of Nelson Dock. My belief is that any infill would spoil the reflection and would detract from the South Stand's outer appearance.
Nothing of note will be built on the Nelson Dock because H*** D******** wont have their giant billboard obscured for anything, and this club will allow the no marks to call all the shots just to get another £3M p.a. into the debt repayment kitty.
