New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

And that is entirely down to £7 donuts.
I mean Wembley makes BMD look bargain
Good post.

As regards so called access issues, might I suggest signs advising punters to 'OPEN YOUR FLIPPING EYES' near the food, drink and WC outlets.

Don't just blindly follow the nearest queue but look further on where it might not be so crowded.

The comment from the Widnes fan is apt in this regard. He had no problem accessing beer or toilets, nor exiting. He said he had eyes in his head.
so I agree with this completely but if you remember the Brighton game we had a bit of it . it was new to us , a few weeks in it’s easy . I think the amount of ‘new’ fans there just weren’t adjusted to doing much more than being wide eyed and following the crowd

So where did the money come from all the players we bought this season, the high contracts for Grealish, Branthwaite and Pickford ? The owners that paid our debts off and took us on when no one else would or could, where were the Saudi's then ? If the extra revenue from the stadium pays for the stadium isn't that a good thing ? Because where else would we find the money, does that make it a virtually free stadium by you're reckoning Dave. Remember you can't just spend money without Commercial deals / European football otherwise you finish up with PSR problems and more points reductions. So is there a point in getting the Saudi's ?

Funnily enough, as revenue from infrastructure can be used as a profit line in PSR, every single penny that we gain from these extra events has the capability of increasing our spending power and in the long run, strengthening the team that we pay to watch. Our 19 guaranteed games per year is the bare minimum. If we kept to that we'd still pay the ground loans off, but wouldn't be able to do anything else, or the capability to do more would be weakened. It was, and remains a big part of the strategy to get Everton back to where we belong. I dare say that if Taylor Swift requested the use of Finch Farm facilities for her dancers to warm up, at an acceptable price, we'd let her.

No, I'm not.

They're interconnected.

If that stadium had EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB on the exterior and the seats were spelling out the club and our mottos etc then there'd be no argument.

That isn't the case though and this stadium just screams out H*** D******** to the world and the talk of it as a multi-function space etc etc further undermines our control over what IS our stadium...in every respect...or should be.

Until those issues are addressed this isn't our stadium. We may play there and the match coverage associates us with the stadium, it will never be home as things stand.

I suggest Everton do something about that before the novelty of this 'facility' wears off.
They didn’t even have the Everton badge outside the East stand lit up for the Mansfield game, things like that let us down.
I drove past Anfield yesterday and there was 4 coaches parked up with hundreds of people milling around the ground, I just don’t see us getting close to that until something is done to attract people on a non Matchday, and we are in a much more desirable location.

Winning the Champions League multiple times helps.

They had a European game against one of the world's biggest teams. Their fans come to watch them from all over the world, of course they'll make a few days of it.

They never turned up at Anfield cause the lights were on.

Swiftonomics or davekonomics? You Decide.

The hosted real madrid less than 24 hours before, travelling fans will make a few days in and around the city out of it. It'll have been stadium tours and the club shop.

Every game I notice loads of people stood on the plaza / concourse looking completely bewildered .They can't find their gate and when they get in they can't find the toilets . I wonder how some people get through the day o_O

A good team who competes at the highest levels domestically and in Europe would help

Maybe if the club allowed people to walk around the stadium on a non-matchday instead of being restricted to the East Stand and the South Stand it'd get more visitors.

Also, they should be opening up more of the stadium's bars and restaurants on a non-matchday. I expect that latter matter to be dealt with over time as they gauge demand, but the former should be taken care of right now. Just allow people to wander around the outside of the stadium - especially that western wharf. WTF are they concerned about to not let people do that now?

Might be a safety cert issue, who is responsible for watching the surrounding immediate patches of water etc.

They passed the debt onto other finance houses charging less interest on it. They didn't pay the debt off.

The owners got this club for a knock down price because Moshiri was over a barrel. The spending on players was real this summer, but I dont see anything other than a slightly better sell-to-buy model for the next few seasons at least.

Does not say much where our manager policy will be, Moyes for the next few seasons ????????
