2025/26 David Moyes

Do we think he will be sacked this month?
Thing I keep coming back to is that we’re in quite a similar situation to last year, in that any of the people they would like to get in are - Sir Garth aside - likely to be already gainfully employed elsewhere.

Given that’s the case, I think they’ll hold off until the summer unless things get genuinely desperate.

Not sure where people expect us to be tbh. We made a mess of the window, and it left us without decent full backs or strikers and with no pace.

Add to that our best defender is out. Top half just was never going to happen, if you actually watch the other teams in the league.
10th or so was where I expected us to be. But its also fair to say that what we are dishing up now isn't good enough either. He is not doing enough to change things.
Bar an absolute implosion I think we will be fine and would keep him until summer . But change then is needed

Cups were supposedly our targets this season according to Anus Angus.
He’s already squandered 50% of that opportunity…..
Think the Texans might be more accommodating of league form if there was an avenue to Europe via a cup run.

As things stand I reckon Big Dan is loading up his Spenser rifle and preparing to put that helicopter landing pad to some use.

I always thought he was brought in to steady the ship and prepare the side for the next step. My worry is, what’s the succession plan? I’d like to see someone like Carsley come in and work with the backroom staff now, to get a feel for the job and gradually take over from Moyes.

If he'd have focused on youth then around 13th and it would have been enjoyable to see players develop over this season - with senior players coming in next summer to take the team up to the european places.

With the signings he has made 8th and most of that is because...

1: He went for Palhinha, Soucek, McGinn & Tete.

After the above he didnt sign a DM or a RB

2: He signed KDH and Grealish + an injury prone Rohl.

3: He's not used Dibling, Anzou or Alcaraz correctly and is sapping the confidence of Beto & Barry.

So, for me he needs to have an incredible 2nd half of the season to get 8th or close to it.

We've shown in parts of games that we should be right around mid table. We should have enough quality to punish plenty of teams, but the mentality is a concern. It's a pattern now, not just the odd game
