Relegation Thread 25-26

Top 8-10 squad.

Bottom three management & coaching.

It’s not a top 8 squad at all though is it?

Tarkowski and Keane have spent their careers battling relegation

We have NO right backs at the football club

We have NO pace in the wide areas

Both of our strikers are absolute mules

Our squad is a mess and our transfer window was an absolute disaster. I want an apology from anyone who called me a bed wetter for complaining that our business was slow, unorganised and clueless.

He should have been replaced in May, but the ambitious competent professionals who run our club were lamentably unprepared or still on gardening leave.

It was a very good end to the season so have no issue with him continuing.

The optimism of August does certainly feel all of two months ago now and it looks a hard slog ahead with lots of low scoring games and tight margins that could go either way.

Can only hope for a few more strong finishes to games like v Palace but it's probably fair to say this team is lucky to be on 12 points based on performances so far, only really the Villa game you can say should've been a better result based on stats and general performance.

Absolutely agree. Our squad wouldn’t be in the best 15 in the league. It is such a mess.

Never called you a bed wetter but in hindsight I should never have tried to calm you down as much as I did mate so apologies

I had a big issue with him continuing because it was always going to be a different job this season. He completed his rescue act. We needed to reboot then, but our unprepared overlords took the safe comfy cardigan option.

I don't think they'll be panicking yet, but lose to Fulham and the inevitable capitulation at Old Trafford will leave Moyes at the mercy of Sean Dyche in December. Oh, the irony.

oh suddenly the players aren’t very good after you spent the past 4 years saying that playing quality didn’t matter?! Only NOW you’ve finally realised that half this lot can’t pass a ball? Took you long enough. This is with Grealish Ndiaye and KDH playing by the way, never mind Harrison Doucoure Lindstrom or whatever other guff we had playing in those previous squads.

I think it will actually be a bit like Dyche. When it feels like Moyes is under pressure he'll dig out the odd win and plenty more 1-1s and in isolation tonight wasn't a bad point with what Sunderland are doing and it was a really good first half performance.

Go back to last season and Friedkin weren't even that bothered to sack Dyche but luckily he left them with no alternative and the run in was more relaxed than it was looking.

Moyes had these poor runs most seasons at West Ham but generally they were never in much danger of going down.

And this is coming from one of the first to have a go at people in the relegation thread for being maudlin, which should terrify us all frankly…

They have all gone into hiding now…

Just need to get this season out of the way and move on with thanks.

Moyes was always 18 month turnaround. Anything longer than that would be a mistake as they'll be plenty of decent managers to choose from next summer.
Get what season out of the way? We could go down, we really are not too good to sink, our strikers won’t score 5 between them.

Excellent use of 'mules'.
