New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

As a season ticket holder in the Lower South sitting on the second to back row in the North Upper was a bit of shock. But as a massive Evertonian as we all our and a lifelong rugby league fan, it was a very special occasion for me today to see rugby league played at Everton. Nice to see a packed house and the revenue and exposure generated can only be a good thing. The amount of pints I saw being consumed was a sight to behold. People still bringing alcohol to their seats with 20 mins left so bars must have stayed open for a while. Doesn't seem to be many of us Scouse rugby league fans.

WOOL

What time does the fan plaza open before the games. Have a stone there and just want to know how much time we have before games.

Also, can non-ticket holders get on the plaza before games?

Thanks for any help.

You should be fine getting into the plaza without a ticket, they checked for the first couple of games but don't anymore.

“Everton have moved from Goodison Park, a legendary football ground, to a 21st century purpose-built football ground.
“The boys told me that they went up there and they loved it with the closeness of being near to the pitch. “The atmosphere was great and one of them told me that it was a better stadium experience than going to Tottenham.

“I can see what he means because as great as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is, it’s very much a corporate stadium and they have the NFL and the boxing there.“Hill Dickinson Stadium has been built for Everton to play their football there. “They’ve got other events, like the rugby league international this weekend, and concerts to come, which all helps from the revenue point of view, but with the way it’s been designed with the steepness of the stands, it’s a football stadium.

First experience today, it's not an arena, it's a proper football stadium.

Anyone who has more than a minor gripe with the place is to be ignored, it's incredible
Need to bin off aramak, though. I was in South stand lower today and the queues were ridiculous and then they ran out of beer. Was not great seeing loads of wools being negative about the stadium because of that.

It was a wonderful occasion, with Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium proving to be a fantastic theatre for high-level rugby league. You could not fault England’s effort and aggression, but in critical moments George Williams and Harry Smith did not have an answer to the Kangaroos defence.

Awesome place, so good seeing us put on a show like that for the RL world. Took a few Leeds fans with me today and they couldnt say enough good things about the place. Service was painfully slow was the only gripe, think more self serve stations would be the answer.
Parked at Aintree and couldnt have been simpler, although we did stay for another couple of pints in the fan zone after the game to let crowds dispurse then walked straight on a train back.
