2025/26 Thierno Barry

Personally I think we need to judge him across a whole season. I think he did better in the second half of the season in Spain and so he could come good if we are patient.

Add in that he has played in patches and come on in games where the team have looked out of sorts or the wingers have been overplayed that the opposition know how to stifle us or the wingers have already exhausted themselves getting nowhere.

If we were properly scouting him at Villareal, why didn't we notice and grab that 'Jeremy Pino' that palace ended up going for..

Might have to ask our resident palace fan on his views of the lad, but did we miss out on another talent that would have been infront of our eyes..

No.

I like that he's doing a bit of a PR push and getting a bit bolshy on instagram. A striker's got to back themselves

Edit: although for what it's worth people are probably reading too much into it saying he's been told he's starting next few games etc. He probably more just meant it in a general self-belief kind of way

What your saying tho does sound like he's starting to feel more comfortable here..

He had one shot last game against spurs so I believe that's his only non blocked shot. He hasnt been gifted any opportunities for chances in my opinion.
Needs to play in the under 21s to gain confidence & be assessed IMO ..... i would like DM to play Nydaye at 9 - Alcaraz at 10 play DH alongside Garner drop Garna - give Dibling a go on the wing ....

Did he look that bad then, seems to be looking alright at palace now.

He looked potentially super when he came through a few years ago.

Baena was their largest sale in the summer and theyve sold Pino, as well as Barry and are still 3rd picking up 2pts a game.

I dont think Pino has improved since breaking through. He's a decent player and could get 6 goals & 6 assists if hes flying but dont think he'll ever be reaching double figures of either or considered top notch.

For me, Ndiaye is far superior and Dibling will be much better

Still think have a player in him more of the team needs to be looking to give him the ball when he makes runs early. Also need more support from the midfield is to much of a gap from the cf to the rest of the midfield in the middle. Need more runners to help, is not a pass as still need to raise his game. But i do feel postive about him can see things in his game
