2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Disappointed to read he has ruled out declaring for Ireland.

I thought Séamus and Jake might persuade him.

Ah well, understandable if he feels much more English and has ambition to wear the Three Lions.

I wish him all the very best, and particularly at EFC of course.

He said it himself. "We can have a bit more composure and bravery." I do think you need a steel mentality and have to be willing to accept that not everything will come off. Doesn't mean you should be averse to taking risks. Ndiaye finally decided to play through balls last game for the first time in his life and created what were probably the two best chances for us all year. It is partially a mentality thing. Just gotta do it.
Did he?

As an Irishman i‘ve nothing but respect for him coming down firmly but respectfully on the side of still trying to play for the country of his birth. Can’t knock anyone for that
Do you think it could be because the quality of the irish team isnt where it used to be? Maybe he would have thought differently back when they had the keanes, damien duff, richard dunne, given etc

Feel like I must have been watching a different player to lost given the hate he gets and the calls for Alcaraz to come in in his place.

He's not a ten to be fair, but I'd have him in first for tidy football over any of the other three. We need Gana, so then for me it's Garner or Alcaraz. Lash the former at full back.

Garner 2
GAna 6
kDH 8
Alcaraz 10

Evens it up nicely

I would much rather see Alcaraz in front of KDH. I think that would be solid. KDH can be all fancy like setting it up, with Charly being aggressive trying to score or get it to Beto as he disrupts defenders.

….it might be more that he’s not overly bothered about playing international football, enjoying the respite of international weekends.
