2025/26 David Moyes

19 times Moyes has been to Stamford Bridge and never won.

Still, he's not Lampard, Benitez or Dyche so it's fine.
For those of us who understand football, I assume this will be why

You’d of been better posting the actual net spend? All you’ve done is criticise an app, that’s easy, why don’t you prove it wrong? Is it because you can’t?
No mate, all I’ve done is point out that Ai is utter testicles that can’t be relied on to give accurate information.
You are the one stupid enough to believe it.

I didn’t say I believe it, in fact the actual app didn’t guarantee the stats. It said the actual data was hard to pin point, but let’s assume it’s not a million miles off, are you happy to acknowledge that Moyes didn’t have the spending power that followed? Because of Kenwright.

There are a number of key points you seem to be purposefully leaving out just to make it look better for Moyes though. The entire league back then had a totally different dynamic to it than it does now mate. The money that was in the game then was pittance compared to what it is now, you could by a very decent player back then for £5m-10m easily, you get sod all for that these days. It was also only a top 4 not a top 6, Spurs and City were nothing special back then, the league in general was much closer and games were more competitive imo. I do agree we were never blessed with loads of funds but never forget that back then David Moyes was one of the highest paid managers in football and part of that was keeping quiet whilst he played along with the mess that Kenwright was cooking up in the background. Don't forget Moyes could have walked at anytime if things were so bad but he stayed for 11 years, I wonder why.

Leicester won the league in 2016 and spurs finished 2nd and we got 47 points with our best striker in our PL history.

“Don't forget Moyes could have walked at anytime if things were so bad but he stayed for 11 years, I wonder why.“

You tell me.

Do you not realise how silly this argument is? Moyes got 8 top 8 finishes in 11 season with a budget any member of this forum was furious about back then, only Marco silva, Roberto Martinez and Sam Allardyce have finished top 8 since and neither did it more than once, even the BRILLIANT Carlo Ancelotti couldn’t manage top 10.

If any of the managers that followed Moyes had taken over us when Moyes did we’d of been relegated, there’s no doubt about that.

In that scenario I’m allowing for the fact that Carlo Ancelotti wouldn’t of taken the job under Kenwright and our measly budget.

He will have to start getting some results. We should have beaten West Ham. We should have beaten Villa. There was no reason we should have been dominated by Leeds.

He doesn't have the lack of funds argument on his side anymore. I am not calling for his head, but I think it is time for him to prove he deserves the faith he was given.

Fully agree. He’s not immune from criticism at all. 1 win in 6 and out of those Cup sounds like just what we’ve been used to since he left.
