Anyway, he was a decent goalscorer for Brentford. If he's still at that level and he wanted to come, Toney would improve our attack.
Yeah, bottom line is if Toney is coming back to the Prem it's to play for a Chams League team (probably under his old boss Thomas Frank). He isn't coming to some mid-table team just to try and crack the top half; not that we'd even have the finances to do such an expensive deal after just spending £100m.I looked it up. It’s two years (presumably why Demarai Gray did two of his four year deal), so to join us in Jan rather than summer, Toney would have to pay back about 7 million quid he’s already earned, then take a massive paycut. File under ‘seriously unlikely’!
Which bit is the untrue bit? You don't think a lot of top teams would be interested in Ruben Neves, or are you saying he'd reject all of them to play for a team that doesn't pay the highest salaries, doesn't challenge for the big trophies, hasn't been in Europe in a decade, and is not particularly any more relevant than Wolves? Seems perfectly true to me.The last bit is definitely not true, but crack on
"I'm delighted to be back in the Prem, delighted to be here, I'm super excited to make my debut but think the yellow card I'll be getting in the 63rd minute for dissent is extremely unfair....."Could just find a Saudi bookie and put 10m on himself to join a prem club
We wouldn’t be 30th on the list that’s nonsense and I don’t think the top 4 or 5 sides in the prem would be interested andWhich bit is the untrue bit? I don't know if I'd risk owing Saudis money , they don't seem to take disappointment wellCould just find a Saudi bookie and put 10m on himself to join a prem club
I have no doubt even when he retires he will still be better than Barry and Beto.He was very good before his ban
That was a while back
No idea how he is now
That’s the exactly opposite of what we should be doing. We waste so much money on foreign flops as it is. Pay up for proven PL players.I think the Toney type is exactly the type of player we need to be looking at but Toney might be too expensive for us.
We need to be looking at RB, LB, Strikers around the world who are perhaps just on the periphery of their club/national squads and want to make a late push for the world cup squad.
Not sure who fits that criteria but then again it’s not my job to know
We still have the same people who did it back then amongst our fans, when they go we have a new generation exactly the same. Been that way since the 90’s.Only if you're in the habit of tarring an entire group of people (club) with the same brush. Kevin Campbell had the brains not to do so after a similar experience. He's human, so I'd say it's evens whether he still holds a grudge, or whether he's capable of moving past it.
But that was at Goodison, at hill dick there's less racist vibes..... At least that could be the pitchToney? The same Ivan Toney whose family were racially abused at Goodison sparking a police investigation?
That would be quite some rapprochement I feel.
Wouldn't look too bad? He's absolutely class! If we had the cash, and he didn't have the attitude, Osimehn wouldn't look too bad in our line up.
