2025/26 Jarrad Branthwaite

It's somewhere in the middle I think. It obviously doesn't mean he's finished but it's potentially a lot more than just disappointing. If (and i'm aware it's a big if) talk of 4 months is accurate then we're talking about him pretty much missing the entire season. That's serious stuff, especially off the back of him missing a decent chunk of last season and needing surgery aswell. It's certainly not a case of throwing him on the scrap heap but we probably do have to consider the possibility that this could be a much bigger deal than just just being a bit of a short term disappointment.

Very well put, which is basically where I was coming from. You however articulated far better than I did!

Whats the point in paying for the sports science and medical team if they give him the go ahead just for him to fall apart again after 2 training sessions?

We've always got to have a player in the squad who ends up like this. Now Calvert-Lewins gone, i guess its Branthwaite's turn.

Absolutely useless management from the club that.

He probably should've just had surgery in the first place, by the sounds of it.

This season had a lot of potential but feels like we're just going to go through the motions now and just end up finishing around the same place as last season. Too many poor signings in the Summer and AFCON on the horizon taking 2 of our best players...
