2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Got neither a goal nor an assist and was at fault by and large for their first goal

Best of a bad bunch, maybe. We can and should expect better.

Still love him like.
Not getting an assist wasn't down to him. He was absolutely exceptional in the first half. He did switch off for their goal though.

I’m not sure if the facts bear this out or I see it more because Beto plays for us and I watch more of our matches, but it seems Beto finds himself in an offside position an awful lot. He’s streaky with scoring. And I don’t think yesterday’s attempts were all sitters. But it seems he’s unaware a good bit of his positioning.

If he can’t score then there’s zero reason for him to be in the team as he offers nothing else, it’s not an agenda, he’s just crap at everything else
I'm not arguing that we need better as that's patently obvious I'm arguing that criticism of him should be fair and not using examples which are harsh

The chance at the far post first half? There was way too much pace on that ball.
You’ve never played/watched football. The ball needs that pace to beat the defenders and goalkeeper. They intercept slower ball. Beto is just never in the right place. He doesn’t anticipate or move well. We had equally good situations as City’s two goals and neither were difficult finishes. Haaland just gets in the right place over and over again.

I said the same yesterday Davek. People criticising Beto and making out that was a sitter have an agenda against him
A better striker scores. He reacts rather than anticipates. Lineker made a career out of scoring those type of goals. Both of Haaland’s goals yesterday were easy finishes, but he just gets in the right place to score over and over again.
