What’s wrong with signing players for the future? The complaints are baffling. Sure, we are short in certain areas, but you have to be looking at the short, medium and long terms in any window.

There’s nothing wrong with signing players for the future it’s getting the balance right with strengthening your first team and the money you allocate between the two.

Tim has massive potential. All managers make bad buys. Do you want to see Ferguson’s, or Klopp’s or Guardiola roll of shame? Bellamy is a massive bellend. Not actually sure I would want him at the club despite his talent.

So what if they were scouted, literally means nothing. We had no DOF or Purdy in place. The recruitment team members in place were Kinnear, Hammond & Moyes. Who do you think agreed the targets/signings? It wasn’t Kinnear or Hammond.

They were scouted with a view to having zero money. When we got some, they decided it was worth the risk. It isn’t rocket science

Moyes got 1.63 PPG last season. Spend £100 million, I’d say 5% increase in points per game would be decent, 10% good, 15% excellent. So that would be 65 points, 68 points & 71 points respectively.

Surely you’d judge that at end of season then or at least later in season if it seems unlikely? I mean I don’t like him, but are you judging him on that because he is not tracking where you think he should be?
