How? With hope and faith? We’ve had a fairly mediocre start to the season with form in and out.
I hope Moyes can turn this around and get us playing and performing consistently well.
True, but I don’t miss the excitement of relegation scares.Just very bland, solid and predictable but there’s no excitement with him.
Laughable, he got the DOF role booted and put himself in charge of transfers, who else do you think signed them?!Yeah I’m sure Moyes absolutely insisting on signing Barry and Aznou.
Clearly Moyes got us 1.63 PPG last season. My argument was he hasn’t improved us from last season despite spending £100million. Not hard to understand surelyWhy did Dyche get sacked if he was getting 1.63 PPG?
He's a limited safety-first manager who'll always fail to be bold when it's required. He sees Everton as a club he can do that with and we should feel happy about it. That was the reason there was an army of people wanting him gone prior to when he left last time for United.
That's just on the playing side.
But it's a disgrace he's back for a number of other reasons, not the least of which are:
- He disrespected this club publicly after demanding players off us
- He backed the Kenwright regime up and told fans to back off wanting Kenwright out
- He marginalised and belittled our greatest ever manager HK
I look at Moyes and his arrogance and wonder just how hels been able to con so many Evertonians that he's better than what he is, never mind 'a legend' in the eyes of many of them.
I detest that man like very few others in football, and the cash that's flown from fans into his and his family's pockets over the years is a disgrace and needs looking into.
A hideous - HIDEOUS - man.
Pure hyperbole, in terms of regular first team players we lost DCL, Doucoure, Young, plus a couple of back up goalies and Holgate/Maupay who hadn’t been near team/squad for a couple of years. We then chose to sell Chermiti. You can’t count loans FFS because zero stopping us from getting an equivalent number of loans in if we wanted too.You say we spent 100m, the squad "lost" 11 players in the Summer, so 100m to replace 11 players isnt really the flex you think it is.
I’ll disagree with Davek on Dyche & Martinez but on Moyes he’s pretty much bang on! I’m sure he’ll be enjoying being back in charge of transfers and working with his favourite agents. He's a limited safety-first manager who'll always fail to be bold when it's required. He sees Everton as a club he can do that with and we should feel happy about it. That was the reason there was an army of people wanting him gone prior to when he left last time for United.

We may need the stars to align but we need top class people in charge of a well oiled system. Until that changes it won’t matter what the stars do.It needs the stars to align for sure - and I imagine you’d get long odds on it happening any time in the next 10y - but never say never tho.
No pal I want £100m well spent with a competent DOF in place along with Purdy. Not a mediocre manager who’s dictating the running of the club and who he signs. Our squad was threadbare FFS do you want champions League place we've been fighting relegation for a while FFS players have gone and squad was empty 100 m won't touch the sides in premier league...
So he’s maintaining the form that last season would have secured Europe over a full season? Sounds like progress to me.Clearly Moyes got us 1.63 PPG last season. My argument was he hasn’t improved us from last season despite spending £100million. Not hard to understand surely![]()
