2025/26 David Moyes

Some people just need to get a grip. We have lost 3 times this season. 2 of which have been away at Liverpool and away at City.

Entitlement at its finest to be kicking off that we lost away to one of the most expensively assembled teams in world football that hasn’t finished outside the top 3 in 10 years.

We lost away to a team that can comfortably have this on the bench… shocker.

He had a budget, he spent best part of £60m on two players who are nowhere near starting.

No wonder he bangs on about the rebuild taking a few windows, he’s buying players for 18-24 months time despite losing several starting players in the summer.
Only thing i can knock him for in the summer window was not absolutely banging the table to get a right back. He was already lumbered with Beto. I do agree with your point though.
We are not yet in the position to pay big money on"one's for the future".

1 win in 5 games.

We have to beat Spurs next week or we could go into the following two games where we'd be expected to get points from low in confidence.

Big performances next week and we can go and get 9 out of the next 9 and cement ourselves in the top 6 and try and dig in from there. Get just 3/4 points and we'll be struggling to maintain mid table.

It's a pivotal moment.

Maybe we are in that position. Maybe he was confident the squad he has could get mid table (progress and improvement from last year). So getting these players means when we have made that progress, they are they already here and ready for us to progress further (at a more affordable price point this year) whilst using what money we have next summer to buy ready made articles for the remaining positions.

If that goes to plan then well worth it.

Never expected to get anything at City but i do expect you to sort this striker problem out. Continually playing Beto and Barry for the last 15 and expecting something different to happen is getting tiresome now. Give them a spell away and try Ndiaye as a centre forward or false 9 or something. Even Keane up front would score more goals than these duds.

He's not going to win at City, Arsenal, Chelsea, RS this season or next.

It's not a big deal imo.

As long as he keeps us around where we are now this season/next, that's fine.

He's here for 2 years to stabilise and improve the squad. I think we'll bring in someone more progressive after that.

Not having striker who can get us a few goals is killing us.

But overall he's doing a good job (still got his favourites tho).

It’s all good sweetheart. I believe in Everton, that we can one day be what i believe Everton always should be, a match for anyone or at the very least going out on the park believing we’re a match for anyone. You think that’s bollox, you’re entitled to your opinion. I feel you believe in DAVID MOYES and the plucky EFC mindset that himself and blue bill indoctrinated a worrying amount of Evertonians with
