New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I asked a 'senior ' steward if I could go in at a different turnstile ( East Stand ) than my assigned no.17 as they all lead to the same concourse. . He said no .Why not ? Dunno mate.
I've tried to use another turnstile, doesn't work and set off a red flashing light saying 'wrong gate' or something to that effect.

They definitely need to review the numbers using each turnstile, some have huge queues and others hardly any. I'm pretty sure the club will be aware of the issue and i'd be surprised if they didn't do something to help resolve it before the end of the season.

I had issues with gate 2 initially as did a lot of people. Turnstile 1 is for the family enclose and doesn’t hold nearly as many people as the north upper. Due to this they’ve started allowing turnstile 2 customers into the right hand side of turnstile 1. It clears really quickly and I don’t even bother with 2 anymore.
Yeah, the stewards directed me into 1, instead of 2 against Palace. And it seemed much clearer around 1, 2, 3 that time.

I had my first visit to the ground today. Got there an hour early so I could have a good wander round inside and out. Very impressed. It's a huge upgrade on Goodison.

My only disappointment was that when I bought my ticket last week I could only get a single ticket because it looked 99.9% sold out so I went on my own. Got to my seat and found a half empty lower tier so I could have taken my wife and kid.

This is where I ended up sitting. Not the seat I paid for but a much more central view. Loads of empty seats.

That’s disappointing, must have been something to do with stewarding ratios maybe so only ever planned on selling ‘XX’ amount of seats.

I was surprised that for a stadium a third full the same problems a full house would get in terms of a packed concourse still existed. It's confusing. Maybe the fact that fans can move freely around the lower or upper decks of the stadium (today just lower deck) contributes?

There's also room on those concourse toward the exit area but people wont fan out, they want to be huddled by toilets/food and drink outlets/just gabbing in groups and clogging the 'kin place up.
We stand by the exits in the Lower South when we're having a pint pre game/ half time. There's loads of room because you can't see any of the tvs from there.

Compared to the test events I found the concourses quite easy to navigate for PL games with a full house.

Getting in the ground is an utter joke tho.

1 turnstile is rammed and every other 1 nearby is empty.

At Goodison I could enter 6 different turnstiles, at Brammers only 1, farce.
We go in via turnstile 12 which is on our season ticket. One of my sons season tickets says turnstile 10 because he sits in a different area of the Lower South but he can still scan in through our turnstile.

That's a sensible thing to do.

It'd probably make it more appealing if they brightened up those areas around the exits because they're gloomy and unappealing...and stewards are standing round over there and it makes it look an inhospitable place to move into / towards.

One thing we noticed with the turnstiles in the second game is that there are actually six turnstiles at our entrance, but it only looks like 4. I got to the front of the queue and then stopped..... and the after a few seconds realised the 2 middle gates (on each set of 3) were empty. I went through one of them and then stood on the other side for a bit and no-one else was using them. Its a bit of an optical illusion or something, for some reason its hard to see them.

The last game was actually loads better at our gate and there more more stewards there guiding people through, but there were queues at others. I think it probably just needs managing a bit better.

Last game i went villa was like that my line was full and the others next was empty. I am in north stand so have walk the way around. Not really sure how works with the tuenstile entrances, was that busy the let fans go into another entrance. That was on the left that lookes like a disabled enteance and manually scanned fans in.
