2025/26 David Moyes

Had no idea good signings only count when they’re permanent deals, you live and learn.

Shame that Lukaku, Barry (G), Ferguson, Campbell, Pienaar, Arteta and now Grealish can’t be included in Everton’s history.

You can appreciate what he did at one point but then take a dislike at a later point. Wouldn’t blindly cheering on somebody even if they seem to have clear flaws be more like a trump supporter?

I enjoyed plenty of moments with Moyes, however I grew tired of his safety first approach in big games. I’m boring myself even typing this. You know it’s true, it’s just it didn’t bother you that much. It did bother others. Totally understandable

That he possibly saved the club when he arrived, possibly, has no bearing on years later when we go away to bigger teams and don’t try to compete in any real way and always try same approach. I appreciate much of his work, other parts I didn’t like and 11 seasons was more than enough for somebody that never won anything.

I was always curious about what he could do with more but apparently he won't be around long enough to find out this time. Figures.

He saved us again last year but that’s just brushed under the carpet.😂😂😂😂

Don’t worry mate, we’re all bored reading it too.

Saves us from relegation yeah, I've not brushed it under the carpet. You haven't responded to anything else

I just think some of you are so happy about having him back that you aren't even able to have a conversation about him not being all that. Anything against him is painted as having unreasonable expectations. It's all a bit hyperbolic

Not really. Some of us just live in the real world.

I am most definitely on the pro Moyes side of things, but I know there are flaws that will hold us back eventually.

99% of the forum are somewhere between the unconditional love/hate extremes.

What I am seriously hoping is that in 2/3 years he has done exactly what he did in his first spell. Get us to the point that we can at least see the summit, it may still be far away, given various reasons, but seeing it is the first major goal.

I am pro Moyes because I believe he is the man to take us that scenario. We are in a stage where it may be small steps and we need to stay patient as a fanbase, to what is being done behind the scenes and on the pitch. So far, I think we are more or less on course for that first step, which is no drama at the wrong end of the table.

Then, I believe with the stadium and a different infrastructure, off the pitch, we will be in a better position to take advantage of what Moyes will have achieved (in an ideal scenario).
