2025/26 Jake O'Brien

Well we’re here complaining about the fact one of our full backs isn’t a natural there and you’re proposing a solution where we choose to put two full backs out who aren’t naturals there instead, with our best centre half playing a position he’s never played before, an unproven centre half taking his place, and our most in form centre half dropped. So quite a lot of ways.
All the diff ways their screwed, yes

But which is the best backline?
Myko JB Tarks/Keane JOB or
JB Tarks/Keane JOB Garner.
(of course with the caveat that Rohl or Tim can step up into Garners shoes)

I suppose this all depends on whether Garner is considered the best RB in the squad. (imo he is)
And then, if you should start your team with your best backline.

Garner or Myko?
Whatever the case it's a nice switch to have, a nice shift to play, if called for.
I'd be going Garner to Myko than the other way round.
Garner can always go to 6 and JOB reverts to RB.

The other option could be to play Tim at RB

once Garner had got that role up and running.
JOB - Garner at right defence could be a very strong dynamic, all round meance in defence and attack.

Send Garner forward and Tim at RB when charging the goal. Tim has got the trickery to play the line and get in behind.

Good to have options.
And a long season may see the need for change.

Tim can barely find where to be in midfield and now you want to try and make him be part of a cohesive defensive unit?

I think Garner needs to be the right back until a more permanent solution occurs with Jake replacing Tarks , as Jake has been a generally capable option at RB the flaws of him being a natural cb are being more apparent in regards to when we attack and on defense when he encounters a quick opposition fb like in the west ham game
