Clinton Baptiste alert...He sets the bar rather low with this team set up and lack of any proactive shape changing subs.
Grinding out 1-0’s and draws to get us to 40 points is clearly the first objective he has set in his own mind. Villa and West Ham are four points dropped at home as a result of this mindset. Needs to change immediately and with a very tricky palace up next.
Yup, cold facts. If we made Europe, I guarantee you the usuals would be out with the "our squad is not big enough for Thursday night football and a Premier League campaign" mantra before you can say "What is the point of this club, so?"
Too many people among our fanbase just want to be 11th. Being in the Premier League is ALL - even if it means being an irrelevance and simply making up the numbers.
Anyway, being in Europe won't solve the striker problem if we insist on spending 27m on a fella we are now deciding isn't up to it. We spent 9m on a full back we have declared is "one for the future". That's 36m not starting. Add another 36m for Dibling and the 12m for Acaraz and that's the best part of 85m not on the pitch last night at kick off. And we think we're rebuilding...
100% this Nath Dogg.Love this scenario where Davey has zero say on all transfers into the club, and just had to accept whatever player the recruitment team foisted on him, so now he’s sulking by not picking any of the young lads.
I didn’t like his cryarsing during the transfer window, moaning about the recruitment team he was a major part of, he should have owned any failures as much as them.
We are where we with the squad, it’s about how he uses what he has now, and recently he’s failing. We don’t have the luxury of time with the new recruits, get minutes into them and see what they can do.
Just like to see a little tactical nuance/different shape and system to fit the players available and Moyes trusting the bench to make changes when it’s clearly not working.
Using 2 subs is criminal and hands the initiative to the opponents.
Try something different and go for it - I’d Sooner be hung as a sheep than a lamb.
This is Moyes, he won't change. Likes older reliable 6/10 players, never changes the shape of his team, rarely loses from a winning position and hardly ever wins from a losing position. The whinging was because he wanted his family to be in charge of transfers! Hopefully he keeps us away from relegation worries and then says thank you and goodnight at the end of the season, and we can bring in a more progressive coach, but they still need better players to work with, we are six or seven short at the moment.Love this scenario where Davey has zero say on all transfers into the club, and just had to accept whatever player the recruitment team foisted on him, so now he’s sulking by not picking any of the young lads.

Everton are only allowed to use 2.Yup, cold facts.
Hopefully Charly and Dibling get on more.. I think they will. Need to get B&B upfront together, to provide more of a target for these lads.
Got 5 subs a game now, right?
From what I watched, which was him explaining the in house appointments and how he see's us moving forward along certain lines, I really liked what I heard from him and how he comes across. He seems a down to earth, level headed bloke with a good idea of how we should be moving forward in the game..
One thing I also get the feeling from it (although not implied in what he's saying) is that those forward thinking plans could end up being the crack that breaks Moyes's back..
Looking more into the Data and Analytics, an area that Moyes won't happily abide with, will be where the heads start butting..
On form today Nath with that post as I was nodding along in full agreementLove this scenario where Davey has zero say on all transfers into the club, and just had to accept whatever player the recruitment team foisted on him, so now he’s sulking by not picking any of the young lads.

Did you watch the interview ?What is Moyes' reluctance or unhappiness with data/analytics as part of identifying potential transfers? Is there something solid you're basing that on?
He wouldn't be in the professional game at top flight level if he genuinely couldn't happily abide the use of data analysis when scouting worldwide for players. It's used to whittle down vast numbers of players to a selection that can then be scouted properly. It's a complimentary tool to refine and improve traditional methods that would struggle with a worldwide market.
As long as he doesn't bring Tim in to replace KDH..
