….disappointing result but maybe fair given the threat West Ham carried. For me, the key was failing to score in the first 20mins of the 2nd half with KDH and Grealish linking so well on the left.

I see the anti-Moyes brigade jumping on lack of substitutions but he made the obvious ones.

The lack of an effective striker is really hurting us at the moment, be a whole different ball game if we had genuine threat in central attack. A few players put in ‘busy’ performances, KDH was decent but Michael Keane the obvious MoM.

The main midfielder signing being MIA also doesn’t help

I thought KDH was o.k actually. When Grealish is in the game he is usually drifting out to the left and creating overloads.

What this side desperately needs is an overlapping LB to benefit from that space. You can see Myko trying but getting into the opposition box is so far out of his comfort zone it is painful to watch.

Never said it does - and chances are that we will..

...doesnt mean we can't get sucked into it though, which was precisely my original point!
No standout sides to go down and we are much closer in quality to a bottom three than a top six. It’s going to be turgid again at times.

We're not gonna steam roll anyone. Especially without a striker. West ham have started badly but they're not cannon fodder like every other team out of the top 2/3. Yes it's disappointing but what do you expect without a striker?

One nil…basically controlling the game with West Ham not really threatening and we let them slowly work their way back in as we lose impetus…DM never makes changes as you can clearly see the momentum turning towards the opposition….absolutely frustrating watch…and if we don’t buy a proper RB in January….I’ll pull the little hair I have completely out!

ANOTHER 2pts dropped due to strikers. This is going to happen on a regular basis. Going to cost us dear.! Said after 1st game watching Barry, after our 2nd game on this forum that him and Beto will not score 10 goals between them in the league games. Prediction looking good ! Criminal, that we couldnt find a decent striker way before and during the window. Had around £40m to find one.

A bit of a change or variation on the play may have helped. There was very little down the right and Beto was shocking this evening.

WH were decent going forward the whole game and it’s unfortunate they got the new manager bounce for this game!

Moyes needs to come up with a few solutions here as things got stale quite quickly.
