Last Film You Watched

Delved into the 1980s and decided to watch two movies I'd not seen before.

The first one was The Abyss (1989). I liked the idea, but thought the ending was utter crap.

Next up was Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). I found it enjoyable and thought the way they combined the cartoon characters and live actors was very well done.
Yeah we watched The Abyss recently, not seen it for yonks and didn't think it had aged all that well to be honest.

Unlike Roger Rabbit which is a stone cold classic.

Holy crap, this is awesome:

Ninja 3 - The Domination

A mid 80s Cannon Studios martial arts horror action flick about an aerobics instructor/telephone engineer possessed by the spirit of an evil ninja assassin who goes on a murder spree to ice the coppers who murdered him... her... whatever - best not to pay much attention to the plot to be honest.

This has got the lot, an epic body count, synth soundtrack, the girl from the Breakdance movies, insane stunts, unintentional racism, wonky effects,James Hong!

Prime, get on it!!
Flashdance? If so the person that did the body pop and spin was a bloke dolled up as her. True fact.

10:50pm tonight, Film4

Only ever seen it once, just don't think I can stomach it ever again. Brilliant film though. Bit like Kill List in that sense.
Same director, I saw DMS coming, I didn't have a chance with Kill List. The ending is insane. An element of 'The wicker man', everyone is in on it except the intended target. Element of humour (gallows or otherwise to DMS, cant say same of KL).

I’ve watched DMS many times, even though it really leaves me feeling empty ( the brother ), but I’ve only ever watched Kill List once, as the ending just properly creeped me out and I found it really disturbing. ( which to me is the mark of a first class horror of this genre )
