On tonight's showing the only player that can hold his head up high is Garner....

McNeill is no dud.... He kept us in the premier League mate, he needs minutes.... Wolves made 9 changes, 9 to an already poor side.

If I could put down to any one thing, our two strikers are extremely poor. No threat at all
McNeil is one footed and slow, he's no dud but he's a confidence player who took every single set piece for a team playing for set pieces, of course he got assists? "Kept us up" as much as Doucoure has - we've dropped them and are playing better football overall, tonight aside.

I wonder do managers point out to these rotation players that if they get knocked out they get a lot less game time. Looks like our lot don't get that at all

MOTM Garner who is a clear starter
All rotation players rubbish bar a couple of moments from Alcaraz

I mean we all want success but it won’t happen overnight. We need to be patient.

We’ve gone from appalling managers and a mental owner to relatively level headed stability.

We need to build on that, and not throw our toys out of the pram after a cup exit.
Totally agree, and as I said at halftime the moment is going to come where we have to decide if Moyes is good enough for where we want to go. The fun part is we don’t actually have to give Moyes more time to find out where he can take us. We know where it is. We’ve got two decades to show us. So if we don’t think that’s enough, and personally I don’t, we really don’t have to wait until the summer to move on. If the guy we want to take over is out there go ahead and do it.

I don’t think this one is on Moyes – the squad was more than good enough to get a result, but too many players just didn’t turn up. Really poor.

Barry, Dibling, Alcaraz, McNeil and Tim all need minutes. They’ve cost a fair amount between them, it’s not like we fielded an academy team (although they might have tried harder). What’s the point of having a squad if you only ever use certain players when injuries force your hand? By then they’re not match fit, not sharp, and it only creates frustration in the camp.

Any successful side has strength in depth and genuine competition for places. At the minute our first XI is set in stone, and beyond that the quality in depth just isn’t there.
