With respect, I think that's a bit of a simplistic way of looking at it. Its possible to be pi££ed off at the result but recognise that we were much better than them after half time. That gives me some succour.

Barry didn’t win a single header

Fotmob has him as 0/7 on aerial duels. So far he's not showing much. Beto is so irratic but at least I feel he might pull something off occasionally. Not that that sense with Barry.

We were the better team for the whole 2nd half, think we competed all over the pitch in the 2nd half. They are champions for a reason and have an embarrassment of riches up front! No shame in that today, we’ve come on a lot since last year. Im frustrated but not because we didn’t show up but because I don’t think we deserved to lose!!

Booking our player for taking a quick free kick, stopped earlier a quick free kick and made us retake it, so ref stopping the flow of the game. Only 3 minutes extra time, how many subs and free kicks that took an age, very strange from the officials at times.

It's almost as if he was waiting fir Liverpool to be ready on the freekicks, and the extra time was short because they were ahead.

Only caught the 2nd half but I thought that was a pretty decent performance. Anything around that level and we'll be top 8 no problem. Don't think a whole lot of that Liverpool defence. No chance they're winning a league.

We didn’t go down in disgrace after going 2-0 and we caused them problems, compared to recent years like the 4-0, the 5-2 etc it was a good performance. It’ll come eventually that we’ll get a run of wins there, I’m confident of that

Barry should be starting most of our games from now on, he showed some nice touches and he needs to get accustomed to the speed of the match, that’s only going to happen by throwing him in. Once he gets a goal and his confidence builds up we can then just use Beto as an impact sub.

Agree 99% mate. Don't see what Beto's impact would be as a sub though, apart from giving the opposition defenders a break.
