not sure if this system is overkill or not.. I mean , do you really need a statistician to tell you that a winger tries to beat his man on the outside before crossing, or otherwise. You don't need a number monkey to tell you midfielder x makes runs from deep lying positions or defender y takes the back post on corners and free kicks. Just have a good scouting network and watch MOTD!
OK, i might be a bit too cynical. I tjhink performance stats are good to assess players over a period of time (work rate, passes, shots etc)...but I am just not convinced of the overall performance payoff. I guess I would fall into the 'old guard' then and a rip old age of 33

Yep, playing at the academy for 8 years and running a league winning under 14s team as well as having my first FA coaching badge clearly shows I know fook all doesn't it.
