There are loads we could go for (and should be going for imo) Fatawu, Bakwa, Zhegrova, Doak. Nothing against Tyler but just think the price is getting a bit high for someone who isn't that quick and a bit of a stepover merchant but obviously is a bit of an unknown quantity going forward (in terms of talent level) and could end up the next Grealish or could just as easily the next Bolassie imo.

but if you know beforehand that Southampton want 50M+ then bidding 40M is pointless especially if you know it’s likely to be rejected, end of the season Southampton put a 100M tag on him, I think this is being used to our advantage, could be massively wrong though

I'm not sure how this relates to Dibling though. Southampton already are relegated. It's not the same scenario. You always have more power in transfer negotiations if you are a top flight club.
