Met a West ham fan in a pub yesterday. We got talking and he said he was glad Moyes wasn't at West ham. He took them backwards and he's much happier now potter is in charge. He also said David Moyes has never had any team he has managed playing good football and instead it is all hoofball .....

Did the same at Sunderland.

I’ve just looked, their squad was crap and expensive and still finishing in the bottom half before he joined.

We had to sign Alcaraz or lose him under the conditions of the loan agreement - we never buy players early - as it adds to our wage bill - we have to get players off the books first - we ned about 5 players or more - DM needs to get some younger talents into the side bargain buys with a few star players hard to do with his budget constraints under PSR - yet the top six spend like hell ?

They spent £100m on garbage like Andre Ayew, Simone Zaza, Jonathan Calleri and Sofiane Feghouli if that’s what you’re getting at? That was the season before Moyes took over, you asked me to look at their squad before he took over compared to their squad now. Safe to say he left it in much, much better shape than it was then.

Its just sensible business to wait till July, it makes no sense to do anything before then.

As you say, talks are ongoing and deals will be lined up early doors July, but the bulk of our work will happen in August I suspect.
