If you read Joe Royles autobiography there's a chapter about Southall and its not all complimentary. Coupled with Southall writing a diary of Royles last season at the club which wasn't very complimentary at times either there was certainly tension between the 2 so I'm not sure Royle did get the best out of him especially as he was looking actively to replace him with Mark Schwarzer

In my opinion Joe Royle is the greatest living Evertonian so he gets my vote

I’m just posting some stuff based on a video I watched and will argue back with anyone who gives a different opinion having actually seen him but I’m just asking a genuine question honest. Yeah ok mate.

How am i argueing?
Im raising a debate, not every time someone disagrees with someone else needs to be an argument.

Here's a question, would we have won less in the 80s with Pickford in goal?

Southall was the one player as a youngster that I could always say to my Red mates would get in a combined Merseyside team without question. That’s enough for me. However, and it’s important to say this, I like the fact the OP has asked the question. It’s great we’ve discussed it and, possibly, educated him . By the way, anyone who criticises Pickford smells of school dinner mash (our second best ever keeper).

Nah if you were raising a debate then the volume of replies and evidence provided would lead you to say ‘ah fair enough I was just wondering’ but you’ve continued to put forward an argument everytime someone disagrees, including laughably having a go at people’s spelling when yours is embarrassing. You’re trying to be edgy and failing, not for the first time.

How can you make an opinion about a player's performance in the 80s if you were only a fan in 94 and watched some highlight reels? You've had some bad takes of late on here but this takes the cake.
