No shame in losing, the shame is in constructing the roster so poorly. Playoff minutes for Dallas defensemen are:

I can't really say how bad Dumba has been except that he played 63g during the season and 0g this playoffs. He has zero trust from DeBoer and it's entirely warranted. He was a terrible FA signing by Nill and should have never joined the team at all. And we've got 1 more year of his trash/contract to endure.

I forgot to add this for context: Dumba has maybe been worse for the Stars than Connor Coady was for Everton, and he's hated just as much as Coady.

A Nyarko moment wouldn’t be out of line if Dumba ever plays again. He had a brief run in Tampa so I know all about him, absolute waster.

Not scoring and Ottinger<Skinner (I wouldn't have believed this). We have a rematch-finals. May the best Barkov win.

Do they ever tour the UK and play matches here? Would love to go to a game
I thought they came way back. The do a couple of regular season games in Scandinavia now if I am not mistaken. Sorry if that's not much help. If you do get the chance to go to a game though go. The speed and intensity is off the charts (particularly play-offs), particularly given the size of some of the guys.

Yeah will definitely try and go one day :)

Got resoundingly beaten by a better team. I didn’t think Otter was bad but there weren’t many other options left. Good luck to Oilers and Panthers.
I actually felt bad for Otter the other night. Thing he pulled him way too early. Sure he let two in two in, but going to Casey De Smith is a massive downgrade....

Whole series changed when Skinner shut the door in game two. Never really rated him, but seems he got hot at the right time. The issue there is he tends to let goals in in bunches.....

Cracking game one of the final though.....

I think DeBoer is a fine coach, but that was a head scratching move. Best analysis of it that I read is that he panicked; but then he also buries Otter in the post-match. Whatever you think of Otter, it's far easier to replace the coach than the players. And Otter is popular in the locker room. And IMO (since it counts of course), Otter is tremendous and can make some really outstanding saves (although there are some in the Stars fanbase who disagree). At any rate, DeBoer has played his last card; there's no way that Nill can keep him around if he has a healthy team but doesn't deliver next year.

Agree. DeBoer has one year left on his deal, but I think he's gone now. Dallas have a cracking group of players (including Otter), though the window of opportunity for them as a team is slipping away. Past couple of seasons suggest DeBoer can't take them all the way. Dealing for Rantanen was a big time move though after stellar showings in the early rounds, Edmonton managed to keep him quiet. Good point on him panicking though for me it was way too early to do that. What killed Dallas was as soon as they got a sniff of getting back into that game, the Oilers went right down the other end and scored. McDavid's goal was quality but the other one was a bit fortunate to say the least......

My son's a big Stars fan, and he worships Otter. I joke about Dallas acquiring goaltenders like Bobrovsky and he always replies "would be a decent back-up for Otter :)"........
