So what with renewed media efforts to sell Jarrad Branthwaite to a proper football club that actually have a realistic chance of winning something (know your place, has-beens), when do we actually think the rebuild under The Friedkin Group might bear fruit and get us back where we once belonged?

The last little while has given me some hope that it may be sooner rather than later, Newcastle, Spurs, Palace, West ham have all won something, we really need to pick up something soon it's been far too long.

I reckon our best chance is getting in that Europa conference league and doing something there. We always bottle it domestically.

I think there will be no rhyme or reason to it.

It's been so long that the raw laws of the universe dictate we'll randomly win something, deservedly or otherwise.

One season, we'll just win a trophy like Palace or West Ham or Newcastle have recently.

Every year we have a decent chance of winning a cup, it all just depends how the draw unfolds really but there's nothing impossible about winning 6 games spread over the course of a few months. I doubt we'll be winning the league in most of our lifetimes unless there are significant changes to how football works.

So I think that with Oldham winning promotion this season, we have gone through longest league side without winning anything. There last promotion was 1991, and have only been relegated since 1995.
I might be wrong. But think every other side in the league has enjoyed a season that ended with a trophy or or a promotion.

Not huge fun being an evertonian. Pretty sure a relegation would have improved the overall fan experience.
The whole “never relagated” thing is a crap thing to cling to.
Anyway, hopefully that’s a thing of the past.

Whenever we win something next it will be the FA Cup.

We won't win the league again in my lifetime (thank god I'm just about old enough to remember 85 and 87), we are never destined to win the League Cup and as for Europe, something always goes wrong (getting banned for F all in the 80s, finishing 6th and losing our UEFA Cup place in '96 because Spurs and Wimbledon played weakened teams in that joke Intertoto Cup the previous summer, Collina in 05 etc) so I don't see any success there again. Hope I'm wrong though.
