Just finished The Residence.

I'm not a massive fan of detective stories - we all got our fill of Miss Marple, Poirot, etc. in those sleepy moments after sunday lunch at our grandparents I'm sure - but this had a lot to commend it:
Set in the White House; eccentric detective; a story that ticks along at a decent pace; ensemble cast (including a cameo from Kylie Minogue as Kylie Minogue); generally amusing and laugh out loud funny in places; some lovely comic acting, not least from Uzo Aduba playing the lead. As with all detective stories it gets a bit lost in its factual matrix and the whodoneit at the end didn't feel satisfying.

Very enjoyable.

Last season of the handmade tale, got progressively worse per episode, right that’s its ending, ran out of road.

Missus and I hated the end of season 2 but kept watching about another season and a half. By the middle of season 4 (I think) we just stopped watching. Great first two seasons bar the finale of season 2

Excellent summary - had a lot of promise from the start but almost tried too hard to be good. The last episode was a farce.
