I think if we are meant to be looking at Hamer from Sheffield United then Armstrong coming in and playing a part makes a lot of sense!
As others have said, it does look like we are getting some early business done so hopefully this is a sign of what to expect from this summers dealings rather than doing the majority of our business in the final throws.
Makes a lot of sense to keep him. I think he just had his best season as an Everton player. Better than any season in his first spell here IMO.
The club now really need to put in place a plan to replace him.
