There's an absolute cache of right backs out of contract this summer

Kenny Tete
Kyle Walker Peters
Tariq Lamptey
Nelson Semedo
Axel Tuanzebe

Would be daft to not have a conversation about getting at least one of them

Cache is one word for it.

The comparison I responded to was one made from within the same game. I haven't watched enough of him outside of the games against us to have any opinion on him.
In the game in question our central defenders handled him with ease. Don't think anyone got a free ride with Beto. Obviously Moyse want's him so that's fine with me but as I said there's nothing about Delap that has the Wow factor. Time will tell.

With the constant comments from ex players Delap could end up going abroad John Terry doesn't want him at Chelsea Darron Gibson advised him to not sign for Man U should he sign for either he's put himself under extreme pressure to score, Everton and Newcastle ex players seem to have kept quiet which is a good thing. The comments from ex players is typical towards English players either build them up or shoot them down

One in three this season so why wouldn't they. I never suggested they pulled a young striker out of the hat every season.

Can you tell me the last time they did then?

Edit/ recently they’ve spent;
£30m on Joao Pedro (already playing in England)
£40m on Rutter (already playing in England)
£30m on Minteh (already playing i. England)

I struggle to think of any forwards they’ve bought in that have been massive successes, so using them as an example of how achievable it is to buy in good strikers at a reasonable fee doesn’t really work for me.

I believe the correct collective noun for those right backs is ‘an ordinary’ of out of contract right backs. 🤣😂

Saying that, KWP plays both sides (ooh err) and is better than what we have as a starter on both sides imo.

I understand many feel differently than me, but KWP can't hold Mykolenko's jock strap.

We need a first choice RB that can maraud up and down the side, get beyond the RW and put in some crosses.

None of those guys fits the bill.

Perhaps you can say he'd be a fine squad player, but we have some cover there.

So Patterson out (for some money - I really wanted him to do well as 1) I’m Scottish 2) he’s exactly the kind of fb we need and 3) it would annoy Davek - but sadly he hasn’t hit the level), KWP in on a free and get a quality right back in and also that lad from the championship mentioned today to compete at LB.

Agreed. 😂

I haven't seen anything about Delap apart from in our games against them, so whatever, but I just thought it was worth pointing out that our defenders have handled, "with ease" plenty of Strikers who are considered fantastic footballers.

Beto isn't a bad player, but he has an awful lot to work on, his hold up play is a major one of those. From the two games Ive seen Delap in, his hold up play has been pretty good. Maybe that's what Moyes wants to see in his Strikers. He may feel that he can improve Delaps strike rate easier and quicker that Beto can improve his hold up play/passing

In the premier league?

I don't see many budget strikers from abroad scoring goals.
Richarlison cost Watford 11m Mateta was something like 5m for Palace. Lots of the established strikers went for buttons earlier on their careers

Time will tell, obviously it's just my opinion but for 30m I'd like to see a player that has at least one stand out feature. Not seeing that with Delap.
