I really like how defenders panic when they see him. That first half we easily could have scored because Beto was forcing a few mistakes. The second half they adjusted and took him out of the game a bit but that opens things up for other players. Your striker doesn't need to be a world beater. He just needs to be enough of a threat for the other team to account for him.

He has a blammo on him, but there’s clearly something badly amiss at the moment - offloaded by Brighton and sunk pretty much without trace at West Ham.

Probably not the kind of fixer-upper we need to be gambling on, if we’re (stretch goal) aiming for Europe next season

And credit to Seamus. There was a just a story about Beto saving screenshots of negative comments to fuel him, and Seamus took him aside and said I used to be the same way, and you won't get anywhere if you stay angry. Beto hooked up with a mental coach, learned to be proud of himself and move past bad days, and says he's at peace now and playing more freely.

Absolutely this. Ferguson has the talent to be a world beater. He's exactly the sort of player we should take a gamble on.
