Season over for Baines

Honestly thing he's played his last game in an Everton shirt.

Chelsea have an aging Left-back that needs replacing soon (although he played well against Barca), and Arsenal's resources in that area aren't up to much. Man City are always likely to be sniffing around too, regardless of how boss their squad is already. A nerve-racking few months ahead I think.

^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^
I have been worried about this all season. His body language has been of someone who is fed up and frustrated.

Baines has been holding us back offensively. Maybe now we'll be able to move the ball up the middle of the field and attack down the centre like when Neville and Hibbert were paired as fullbacks against Sunderland. We scored four points in that game and had a shut out too./ We should just sell baines becaus he's worth at least 30 million right now and we could buy some real Big Four strikers like Nikolas Bendtner and Adebayor.

Chelsea won't buy Baines. They already have Cole, Bertrand and Luiz. Oh, and they've got Van Aanholt out loan too. Last thing they need is a fifth left back !

I'd say Arsenal are more likely than Chelsea but they already have Gibbs and other people have said they highly doubt Baines would move down south.

well we can see what Garbutt is all about, whats that? we can can play an experienced player out of position instead, while we coach any attacking instincts out of the kids , is right, lets do that

Moyes just said he thinks Baines will be out for a couple of weeks but not for the whole season in his pre-United press conference. A glimmer of hope!

Maybe we will finally see Seamus make that RB position his. In a way it's kind of how Baines got into the team, because got Yobo got injured.

Neville's preferred position is actually left back so he wouldn't be out of position, and best time to judge how good garbutt is would be pre season

paper talk today on the OS says the mirror(i know bollox) could get baines for as little as 5mil due to evertons finances, if that were to happen id more than fume. thats as polite as i could put it.

Who could get Baines for 5 mil? Missed that part. I honestly think he will never wear an Everton shirt again after the Newcastle match. When he goes, it will set off a chain reaction in the club and the fan base that will see the dismantling of the current squad, and I imagine Moyes will be out the door. I am in no way sourced up. I just have this gut feeling based on his body language the last season, and this nagging sense of dread filled gut instinct that there is something sinister en route. I hope I am wrong!

Leighton Baines has emerged as a shock summer target for Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson has identified the Everton left-back as a possible successor for captain Patrice Evra as the Frenchman nears his 31st birthday.
And the belief at Old Trafford is that Everton's financial situation could enable them to land Baines for as little as £5million.
