2024/25 David Moyes

I get that Moyes has done a good job & the football has improved immeasurably but Dyche got 12th last year ( if you add back the points deductions ) & he also had to deal with a lot of other stuff.

Hopefully we can new actually make some progress but everyone around us will be trying to upgrade as well.

Had a few more players as well didn't he?

I acknowledge Mangala getting an ACL in January went some distance to harm an already fragile midfield.

If Moyes had a full season we’d be on course for just short of 60 points and well into the top half? The only reason we are 13th is because the former manager did such a botch job in the first half of the season.

I'm not sure the league position is massively relevant given when Moyes came in. If Moyes had been there from the start we'd be in 8th given his projected points.

For me the biggest problem with dyche was the pathetic home record is something i hope we can build on with moyes. Not going take anything away from dyche for dealing with last season. But for me just that feeling esp at the end of the fear in games and a real lack of confidence in the team. With moyes now feel like the team is in most games and have more confidence in them.

You know who you are, cap doffed.

Almost heaven, our Gladwys Street,
Saying farewell, with tears in my eyes.

To the South Stand, on the royal blue Mersey,
We are the Scousers, this city’s in our blood.

Welcome home, Davey Moyes,
To the place, of the blue boys,
Goodison Park, to Bramley Moore,
Welcome home, Davey Moyes.

Moyes had to start from where Dyche left off.

With Moyes' PPG, we'd be sitting on 54 points after 37 games. That'd put us in 10th.

His persistence on stressing what an achievement it is to remain a premier league club (before talking about the next steps) does my head in.

WE GET IT FFS. YOU DID WELL WITH THE MATCHES YOU HAD - THATS WHY YOU WERE BROUGHT IN.

The glorification of a bang average league placing is what gets up my nose. I don’t care about the circumstances or the state the club was in when you arrived.
