I think the Branthwaite injury forced Moyes to change his plans. Having used two of the substitution windows or whatever they call it, he had only one left so had to put Calvert Lewin at the same time as Keane.

But he could have taken Beto off.

McCoist said something along the lines of “the defender did well there while pulling his arm out of the referees sight” in the commentary. Would be interesting to know what the reaction would have been had that been the same on Salah for example because it was just accepted as being good defending.

Seemed to have lost his pace on that break as well. Fresh on and had a head start and still couldn’t go with it.

As much as I like him and have defended him, it probably is the right time to part ways. Beto is seemingly on the up, and is a real threat and if he is second choice, he offers an entirely different way of playing that most strikers we seem linked with don’t offer.

Think have got it correct with the love part think alot of fans will look back and respect what he did he. Just for me becuase of the injuries and well what has happend here he and us have suffered. Maybe of he got that move and we got decent money maybe would have been a different situation . I hope he goes to a different league if he does go, if he stays also fine with me becuase moyes will have wanted him. The money he wants 150 is the rumour we just cant pay becuase of his record, if he did sign maybe could add in if he meets certain targets to increase it. But still think even 100 a week is to much , hard really seeing him stay but never kno

We need to be careful. If we give him a big salary with his injury record and lack of goals recently it would be a big mistake. Nobody else is paying him more than £40-£50k a week.
